Christmas Day

I keep thinking each year that the girls are going to get up before daybreak to see what Santa has brought them. I woke up every hour on Christmas Eve thinking they were sneaking in to get a peek! I was too excited to sleep myself...I look so forward to seeing their little faces when they get what they have asked for. I also couldn't wait to see Marmees's face when she opened the present we had gotten her...I love giving gifts! Anyway, I was up early and watching the hallway to make sure there were no little girls coming in until we were ready! I put the finishing touches on the breakfast casserole and made the coffee thinking surely that would wake the girls up. Nope! 7 o'clock rolled around, 7:30 came, everyone was up except the girls! Finally at 8 o'clock AnnaKate woke up, and we had to wake Emma up! Hey, I will take it. I would rather wake them up than have them waking us up at 5 am!

Santa came!

Trying to wake up.

Emma loves her new bike! AnnaKate likes hers too...she can go "speed" on it!

AnnaKate checking out her stocking.

Our first year to do a clue present for the girls. T.R.'s family always had a clue present, and his parents still do one for all of us every year! It will usually be the last present, but it needed to be the first one this year because most of the presents under the tree went with it.

Emma reading the clue to AnnaKate...they did a great job finding them all on their own!

They found it!

Loving their American Girl dolls! They both got Kit. We out a couple of Kit books out from the Kirkwood library this summer, and they fell in love with her! Plus, I think she looks like them. :)

Showing off the dresses Aunt Kellie made for them. We are lucky to have such a talented Aunt!

Our baby boy even got some Christmas presents. Can't wait to see him in this adorable jacket!

Marmee with the bracelet we got for her. It is a sliver bangle with the girls names on the charms...we will add baby boy's after he is born.

Aunt Kellie

Just a playing...

T.R. & Kellie playing the Wii...Emma says the adults might like it more than the kids. I think she is right! :)

Our kids were up at 5:40! So glad you had a good Christmas. Can't wait for Baby Beau to get here. I'm hoping the kids and I can come up this summer to meet him.
