Snow Day!

I love winter weather and snow days! It's a good feeling to not have to be anywhere and to stay home in our pajamas all day. AnnaKate actually slept in a little (7:45) and Emma slept until 8:15! We cuddled up on the couch and watched Sesame Street...we never get to watch it because we are running out the door everyone morning when it is coming on. It was so nice to just hang out with the girls! We got out the cookie cutters that Emma gave me for Christmas and made name cookies for everyone in our family. They turned out really cute! Then we had a yummy lunch of grilled cheese and soup (mmmm!). We didn't actually get out to "play" because it is tooooo cold for me! I did let the girls stand out in the snow and catch a few on their tongue. We have another snow day tomorrow, so hopefully it will be just as relaxing and fun!

Cupcakes!

T.R.'s parents are in town this weekend, and we are having a great time! We went to lunch in downtown OKC and walked next door to a cupcake place for dessert and to celebrate the girls having a good night in their beds last night. It was so much fun! Emma had a rocky road cupcake, T.R. had a chocolate peanut butter cupcake, Marmee and Poppa had a "destin" cupcake (keylime with grahm craker crumbles", and AnnaKate and I shared a carrot cake cupcake. It was fun, and I bet the girls and I find our way down there again soon! I know there is another new cupcake place that has opened too...maybe we will try that next. :)

A Day at the Park

We took advantage of the beautiful weather last weekend and headed to the park. I had this perfect picture of Emma riding her bike along with T.R. and me jogging with AnnaKate in the jogging stroller...NOT! First of all, we went to a really hilly park, and Emma had a hard time riding her bike. Instead of putting on her brakes when she gets to going too fast, she just falls over. She had a few wrecks, but she is learning! AnnaKate did enjoy the stroller and kept saying, "faster Mommy!". It was touch and go during the bikeride, but playing on the playground made everyone happy. We will have to try going bikeriding again sometime...but we wil definitely have to find a flatter park!

Emma, still smiling at the end of a rough bikeride.

AnnaKate loves the slide!
