Florida Vacation

It's been a LONG time! Life is busy, busy around here. We have had an awesome summer! I have a lot I would love to catch up and post. I am going to start with now and go back as I have time. We just got back from Destin, Fl with T.R.'s family. It was a blast! It was our 4th time to go with them, and we love it every time. Our schedule consists of breakfast on the balcony, beach, lunch on balcony or beach, beach, shower, dinner at Dewey Destin's (every night, sleep, repeat! Beau is not in any of the pictures because he stayed in Texarkana with Nana and Doc. Can't wait until he is old enough to go with us! Looking forward to next time...

Emma's Baptism

T.R. was putting Emma to bed on her 7th birthday...March 20, 2011. She had been asking a lot of questions about what it means to be saved, and she was really starting to put things together and really understand. I was in the kitchen, and T.R. came in to tell me to come back there. Emma had decided to make Jesus the Lord of her life, and she was ready to pray and ask forgiveness for her sins and to ask Jesus into her heart. It was the sweetest prayer I have ever heard. She was baptized last Wednesday night...January 4, 2012, and her Daddy did it. I am so proud of our sweet Emma and can't wait to see what God has for her as she lives for Him!

Opening a special present from Mommy and Daddy...

A James Avery cross necklace to remember this special day!

Waiting for the service to start with Rob Hunt. Rob and his wife Kellie have been a special couple to us since we moved to Oklahoma almost 8 years ago. They were our first Sunday school teachers here!

Church was starting, and they were singing the song that Emma requested...Laura Story's "Mighty to Save".

Resident Wives Dessert Party

One thing I was excited about T.R. coming back to OU to work was getting to stay involved with the residents and their wives. When T.R. was in residency, I had a the wives over every July for dessert and coffee to meet the new wives that had moved in. It was always a lot of fun, and we would all sit in the living room and each give them a piece of advice for residency. I thought it would be fun to continue to have them over every year, so I started it back up this year! I thought it would be easy to make everything myself, so I did. It wasn't easy! It was fun though! I borrowed lots of cake plates and decorations from my friends, and I think it turned out great. I wanted to get some pics of the girls and all of us as a group, but I totally forgot once everyone got here. Maybe next year...can't wait!

The dessert spread.

Red Velvet cake balls! I found the recipe at www.bakerella.blogspot.com. They were YUMMY!

All About Beau

I don't think I have done a post on Beau since he was 2 months old! So, i just decided to post some pics of him. He is 7 months old now, and time is flying by. He is rolling all over the place, and I am hoping he is late when it comes to crawling. :) He rarely has to play by himself because one of the girls is always with him. They ADORE their baby brother, and it is really sweet to watch. They laugh at everything he does, and I can see this spoiling him in the future. He LOVES his big sistets too! He smiles from ear to ear when they talk to him. They are good at the baby talk! Beau is such a blessing to our family and we are so thankful for him.

Cuddling with big sister, Emma.

First taste of green beans...he is still not a fan.

Listening to big sister, AnnaKate.

Just a favorite picture...I want to eat him up!

Just like this one too...my baby boy. :)
