Our church had its second annual "Daddy Daughter Date Nite" this past Thursday night. Emma and T.R. went last year, and they had so much fun! The dads take their daughters to eat at their favorite resturant, and then they meet at the church for dessert and dancing. AnnaKate is still too young to go, so she stayed home with mommy! Emma loved getting dressed up for her date and putting on her lip gloss. She even picked out the tie for Daddy to wear! Emma chose Othello's to eat...that is a local resturant here in downtown Edmond. We love to go there on Sunday nights for pizza! She absolutely loves to go there....she chose that for her birthday dinner too! After pizza they met up with some of her little friends and their daddies. When she got home, I asked her what her favorite part was. She said, "getting a balloon, having dessert, dancing with daddy (to Cinderella music)...all of it was my favorite!". She was till carrying her balloon around the next morning, and out of the blue she told me that she loved her date. These are such special times!
