Happy Birthday Daddy!

Two birthdays down, and one to go! We celebrated T.R.'s birthday this week on Tuesday, March 10th. It was a great day! He is on his elective rotation right now, and he was able to eat breakfast with us. He never gets to do that during the week...he is gone before any of us get up! We had baked oatmeal with apples and craisins...mmmm! After I picked the girls up from school we went to Dollar Tree to pick out some balloons for Daddy's chair. They had fun doing that! Then we headed to the grocery store to get the stuff for his birthday dinner...flank steak, smashed potatoes, and grilled squash, zuchinni, & bell peppers. The girls helped me with the chocolate cake and couldn't wait until Daddy's party! T.R. had a wonderful birthday, and now we are looking forward to celebrating Emma's on Friday! Oh, and Emma does have on "cat ears" in all of these pictures. They are from her Halloween costume a year ago, and she had just found them!

I felt bad that he had to grill his own birthday dinner, but flank steak was his request!

MMMM...it looks good!

Emma and T.R. dancing to "I Like to Move It" (Emma's favorite song!).

I am no cake decorator, and excuse my messy kitchen. I started baking the cake at like 4:30 and did't quit cooking until we sat down at 7:30 to eat! I loved every minute of it though. :)
