There was a 5K race right here in downtown Kirkwood on Sunday morning, and T.R. and I were able to run it together since my parents were in town! It was T.R.'s first race. It was a really hard course with 3 big hills, but we made it. No walking here! :) It was fun to be able to run a race with him, but running is not something that I can visit while I am doing it. I have to have my i-pod going, and if I do talk I run out of steam QUICK! He was a good sport, and he stuck with me the entire race even though he could have left me in the dust. We are both really enjoying running, pushing ourselves, and setting goals to meet. I am hoping to do a 10K next...it's time to move beyond the 5K!

With the girls before the race. Doesn't Emma look pleasant?! AnnaKate has been telling me that when she is a big mommy she is going to run in the race just like me. :)
Fredbird from the Cardinals was there! He came up to our table and surprised us. He tied up the sleeves on Emma's jacket! She loved playing with him.
AnnaKate had to keep her eyes on Fredbird...she didn't know what to think about him!

I don't know how i missed this post... that is so neat you and T.R. ran the 5K together. I was laughing when you said you have your ipod on and don't talk much - that was totally me when we ran.
