The Gingerbread House

We have had this gingerbread house kit since the first of December, but we just got around to making it. This has been the busiest Christmas season I can ever remember! We still haven't been to see Santa yet...hopefully we will make it before Wednesday! We did have fun making the gingerbread house. T.R. used his "surgeon" hands to put the house together and make the icing look pretty! The girls loved tasting the gumdrops as they decorated too. After we finished making the house T.R. left for an interview party, and I put the girls to bed. I went to take a shower, and I could hear giggles in the living room. I looked out and saw that both girls were out of bed. When I finally got out of the shower I found AnnaKate on top of the dining room table eating the candy off of the house! Emma was nowhere to be found (I know she had something to do with it though!). I wanted to laugh and scream at the same time!!! Thankfully we still had some candy left to replace what was eaten. I will not leave a gingerbread house in kid's arms reach again!
