Dining & Dancing with Daddy

Emma attended her first dance last night with her Daddy! It is a fundraiser that is held every year at Oklahoma City Country Club benefitting the Gladney Family Association. Our Sunday school teacher's wife is one of the organizers for it and invited T.R. and Emma to be their guest this year! So, I had a ball shopping for a dress and getting her all dolled up. We went and had her hair done, and I loved it as the girl was curling it up. I wasn't planning on Emma having an elaborate hairdo, but it kind of turned out that way! I was going to take it down at home but I figured I would just really ruin it! It grew on me and looking at the pictures I love it! For dinner the girls had chicken strips, pasta, & green beans along with a Shirley Temple. Emma had a few of her little friends and their daddies at her table too. She came home so excited last night, and she and T.R. had a ball. I had a couple of people come up to me at church today telling me that they loved watching her dance and that she had a smile on her face the entire time. This will be something that she and T.R. (and AnnaKate in a few years) can do every year and make sweet memories.

Just like Cinderella and ready for the ball.

The fancy hairdo that grew on me. It looked really pretty!

What is a dance without the last minute painting of nails!

Emma was truly surprised with the cha-cha (bracelet of rosebuds)!

Emma was so excited to go to the dance with Daddy.

Emma with Prince Charming! You can see AnnaKate behind T.R. here. She was really jealous and didn't want to leave him for the picture. She cried when they left and was saying, "I want dance with Daddy". So sad, but sweet!

Emma & Emmaline looking pretty and waiting for their dinner.

Emma cuttin' a rug...she takes after her Daddy!

Emma still dancin' the night away....

Dancing with Daddy and getting tired!

AHH! I had no idea you had a blog! So glad you shared!

This makes me so excited for these days to come with Sadie and her daddy!

Of course, now we have other fun boy adventures...but there's just something about little girls with their daddies!

This is precious, thanks for sharing! Where did they go for this daddy/daughter night? Was it with the church?

Molly, it wasn't with church. It was just a fundraiser for the Gladney Family Association. It is an annual event, so Blake and Sadie will have to go when she is older!
