We have had a pretty exciting day around here! I picked the girls up from school and noticed the sky was looking pretty dark to the west. So, I turned on the radio to hear them talking about a tornado that was southwest of OKC and making its way toward our part of town. If you know me, you know that I get a little rattled when it comes to tornadoes! I think I caught every red light and a train to boot. We made it home, and I turned on the T.V. just in time to see that we needed to take cover. The sirens were going off, and the news helicopter (that was filming the tornado) was flying right over our house! It went north of us, and we are all fine. It did do a lot of damage in the neighborhoods that it hit, so we are lucky! I guess this is all part of living in Oklahoma. We WILL have a saferoom when we move back!

This is the view out of our front door. The clouds were looking pretty ominous but fascinating.

Crazy clouds...

This is the view out of our backdoor. It looked a lot worse in person!

The girls in the bathtub. They knew what was going on, but obviously didn't understand the seriousness of it all! Why should they? Mommy was having them smile & taking pictures!

So glad you are OK! I was watching the news and praying for all of our friends in OKC!
I heard on the radio that day (KLove I think) that there was a tornado that touched down in Edmund and I immediately thought of you. Happy you guys were safe!
