Tea Party

To celebrate Emma's graduation from pre-k, the girls and I went to a tea room here in Edmond for lunch! I have been wanting to take them there, and it was the perfect day for it. Emma was looking around and taking everything in! It is beautifully decorated with chandeliers, china, and flowers. She looked at me and said, "Mommy, this is fancy!". She also said that she was "elegant" just like Fancy Nancy. I loved watching her as we spent our time there because I could tell she felt special...and she is.

In front of the sign.

There is a hat rack right inside the door, and you can pick any hat to wear during your "tea"! The girls loved trying them on.

Emma with her scone and lemon curd. She and AnnaKate both kept eating the curd even after their scone was gone. We will have to keep working on our "tea room" manners. ;)

Mommy and AnnaKate with our hats on. Emma was our photographer!

Look at those little hands! The girls had pink lemonade, and they brought it out in a little tea pot. Emma had the best time pouring "tea" for her and AnnaKate. They felt so special getting to drink out of real tea cups!

Emma pouring tea. I think that was her favorite part!

The girls with their tiered tray lunch. The first tier had cheese cubes, turkey and cheese panninis and a heart peanut butter and marshmellow cream sandwich complete with sprinkles. To my surprise they didnt' like the peanut butter and marshmellow cream! The second tier had a scone, whipped cream with sprinkles, and grapes. The third tier had a vanilla cupcake with chocolate icing, a chocolate covered strawberry, and a fancy rice crispies treat.

The Lewis girls with our yummy lunch!
