AnnaKate's Mother's Tea & Mommy's Big Mistake

AnnaKate had been practicing nursery rhymes, and I would hear her chanting "Mary, Mary, quite contrary, how does your garden grow?" all over the house. It was so cute! They had been going over different rhymes to perform for all of the mommies at the school's Mother's Tea. Emma had a field trip that morning that I went on too. I had planned to go home, eat lunch, and head to AnnaKate's school for the tea. Emma and I did just that. After we ate lunch, I thought, "I have until 1:30, so I will get some laundry done and clean up a bit." Emma and I got into the car at 1:30 so that we could get a good spot to see AnnaKate and video her. As we got closer to the church I noticed that the parking lot was already full. My mind started churning, and I realized that the program was at 1 o'clock not 2 o'clock. Why would I even think that??? They get out at 2 o'clock! Emma and I parked and ran into the Great Hall where all of the kids were having cookies and punch with their mommies, and there was AnnaKate sitting with her teacher. I never want to feel that kind of sickness in my stomach again! I couldn't believe I did that. The good thing is that AnnaKate doesn't seem to remember it at all and doesn't seem to be affected by it. But Mommy will never forget, and I will always be so sorry!
