Last Day of Kindergarten & Field Day

Wow, this year has flown by! It seems like just yesterday that I was posting pictures of Emma's first day of kindergarten, and now I am posting her last day! It is hard to believe that our time in Kirkwood is almost up. It hits me everyday as I drive to the places that have become part of our everyday routine. I admit that I was very teary driving Emma to school on her last day. The drive down Taylor St. is such a pretty one, and I have enjoyed the scenery of the BIG, beautiful homes and tall trees during every season. We couldn't have asked for a better school and teacher for Emma's kindergarten year! It makes me sad that Emma won't be able to give her a hug or see her in the halls as she continues through elementary school, or that AnnaKate won't have the chance to have her as a teacher too. I also confess that as I read Mrs. Ducey's last e-mail to the parents for the year I started bawling like a baby! She ended the e-mail with a quote from Dr. Suess, and I loved it. It is the quote I am taking on as we prepare to leave this wonderful place God has put us in for this year. "Don't be sad that it's over. Be happy that it has happened." I am truly happy that this year has happened. It has been a wonderful one!

Walking into school for the last time!
