The Wheels on the Bus...

Emma has been so excited to ride the big school bus since we got the info about it in the mail. I wasn't so sure about it! She has been asking me every day this week, and I gave in today. I figure it's just kindergarteners riding home at noon, and she would be fine. So, AnnaKate and I headed down the sidewalk to wait. I forgot my cell phone and started worrying..."what if she didn't get on the bus and the school was trying to call me?" If I went home to get my phone, I might miss the bus coming by and she would be scared. So, we waited. Sure enough, here comes the bus and a smiling Emma getting off. She sat in the front like I told her to, and she told me she talked to Lizzie on the way home. Evidently she had her ymca soccer medal in her backpack because she had it on when she came out. Looks like the bus might be a go this year! (maybe not everyday ;) )

Oh my goodness! What a big girl. I can't imagine what it's going to be like when Jackson goes to Kinder.

Thanks for your comment on the blog. I know you will be such a great support for the teachers. Of course, the one drawback of having been a teacher is that you'll know if they aren't any good! I hope Emma loves her teacher this year.

i don't know what it is about the bus but it is amazing how much they love it. this is sydney's second year riding the big yellow bus, even her little sisters can't wait to ride the bus like syd.
